Zest Bistro is the creation of Capitol Hill resident Amanda Briggs. Amanda and her husband had long dreamed of creating a hip, warm and welcoming space in the neighborhood that caters to the diversity of Hill professionals while remaining friendly and accessible to families. Add great food and exceptional service to the equation and Zest Bistro fills a niche for creative American food on the Hill.

Zest is the perfect place to dine at any time of day; Pork Tenderloin with Spicy Peach Chutney, Roasted leg of lamb on grilled flatbread, Salt and Spice roasted Salmon or Penne pasta with old world bolognese sauce are some of our signature offerings. Sunday brunch is also not to be missed!

Zest is committed to being environmentally friendly and has taken a number steps towards being green. Wood from the restaurant demolition was saved and made into the dining room tables and bar top, non-toxic paint was used on the walls, the water heater, sinks and toilets are highly energy efficient and the bamboo floors are a sustainable resource. Zest continues to look for ways to be green and will incorporate these efforts into their carryout packaging, as well.

While nobody at Zest is going to rush you, or over explain the menu, getting advice when selecting from our wine list or finding out which dessert is our favorite is just the kind of information our friendly and informed wait staff are there to help you with.
